NWEA Testing
Most students finished testing last week, but we still have a few to go.  Later this week you will be getting some information home on the Winter NWEA test and the M-STEP (formerly the MEAP) that they took last year.  I will send a remind to let you know that it is coming home.
Immigration Unit
We are one week into a very exciting PBL unit on immigration.  I hope that your student has shared the great work we’ve done so far.
Thought Partners

Last week your student received their first thought partners.  These will be changing bi-weekly to give the student an opportunity to speak with different members of our class.  This can feel a little uncomfortable speaking with people outside of your comfort level, but they are doing an fantastic job.

Spelling Test will take place on Monday.  Tests will come home tomorrow night.

The B Hive News

The “B” Hive News January 4, 2015

I can’t believe that it’s already January.  We have learned so much and come so far, yet there is still much content left to teach and learn.  The second half of the year is the time to focus our energy and prepare for 5th grade.  A separate email about our new homework policy will follow this one.  We all need to be a team to ensure each student’s greatest success.  Thanks!
